The Pawn Shop specialising in the selling, buying and trading of used designer goods will open for business today after an energy-packed opening party on Saturday.

Since the birth of his business almost 10 years ago, Getemfromkam has gone from strength to strength earning a long list of celebrity clients such as Roman Kemp, Big Narstie and Dababy.

The illusive businessman is yet to reveal his identity on social media, adding to the hype around his name and business.

Getemfromkam welcomes all

The grand opening of the Pawn Shop on Saturday was a major success for Birmingham born hustler Getemfromkam, who has worked his way from selling sweets in the school playground, to selling mobile phones on market stalls and now dealing in expensive sneakers, clothes, watches and art- this business is a true product of inner city Birmingham.

The 28 year old says "the launch was such an achievement for me... this has been such an amazing transition from being an online retailer to now having a shop in such an amazing part of Birmingham. This shop is not only for customers, but it will serve as a hub for the creatives of today to share and collaborate on their ideas"

The shop features a sneaker wall, and clothing rails packed with the most sought-after streetwear and designer pieces as well as unique finishing touches such as a real back-end of a car labelled 'car boot sale' and hand painted signs giving a retro feel.

Getemfromkam aims to provide a second life to fashion by selling, buying, and trading used items contributing to sustainability within the city.

Rahman Thakur, working at the Jewellery Quarter's retail department for Birmingham City Council says

"The JQ needed this. It is an exciting addition to our growing independent retailers within the Quarter. I am very hopeful for what this will bring"

The launch was also a showcase for home-grown talent- with Birmingham Rappers Sox, T Roadz, Blue Room Mafia, DJ Chef Dee and The Real Kashino performing.
